By hiring us as your consultant, we will offer unbiased advice and advocate for you and your project.  Whether we're drawing preliminary plans, talking to vendors or looking for potential problems, we will be on your team.  We can also provide a network of trusted vendors that you can talk to about your project. 

With over four decades of experience in construction, our main interest is to listen to you to find out what you want in your project.  We can provide advice throughout construction process to ensure your voice is being heard and you're getting the finished product you desire.

1.  What will it cost to consult with you?

• There is no charge for the initial phone consultation.  Upon contract acceptance, I charge $60 for the first hour and $40 for each additional hour, with a two hour minimum consultation fee.  If other services are desired, we can discuss charges, as needed.

2.  Will I need insurance for my project?  

• If you are contracting the project yourself, it is desireable to obtain insurance.

3.  What exactly will you be doing to help me with my project?

• I can offer unbiased advice, be your advocate when dealing with vendors, look at potential problems on site, draw preliminary plans for quotes, and various other duties as agreed upon.

4.  Do you draw house plans or site plans?

• Although I do not draw your final plans, I can draw preliminary plans that you can use with your subcontractors and other vendors.

5.  What are the benefits of hiring a consultant when I already have a building contractor?

• Hiring a professional to guide you, keep you on track, and offer advice is worth the investment, possibly saving you time and money in the long run.   Allowing me to visit on site can possibly keep potential problems to a minimum.  Managing your project from pre-start to finish (or anywhere in between) and guide you in the right direction can save you time and money.   

6.  Do you have subs or vendors that you can share with me?

• Yes, upon request, I can offer subcontractor or vendors for hire.

7.  What documents will I need before signing contracts or working with subcontractors.

• There are several critical documents that I can share with you regarding subcontractors.  

8.  Will you be available to make site visits?

• Yes, I am available to make site visits, and strongly encourage that as part of our contract.
